There’s a week left until my birthday, and as usual I have the list. I realize that this may make me seem like an ego-centric, spoiled, bratty, “gimme-gimme” type of person. But I’m not asking for everything on this list. They’re just suggestions, starting with what I want the most, then what I want the second most, and so on and so forth.
OS X 10.5 Leopard - $109
Apple’s newest OS comes out 2 days after my birthday. So what I had in mind was more of a certificate to buy it… Anyway, it’s got some great new features like the Time Machine backup system, virtual desktops (Spaces), a shiny new dock, Boot Camp built-in, and new versions of Mail, Safari, iChat, iCal, Photo Booth, Front Row and DVD Player.
Final Cut Express - $240
This is the program that I always planned on saving up for, but never really had to patience to wait for the money to accumulate. Final Cut Express is the (slightly stripped down version of the) pro movie editor for Macs. Why do I need it? Let’s just say that I’ve been bumping my head repeatedly on the ceiling of iMovie’s limitations.
Oh no, there’s much more, trust me…
LaCie 320GB External Hard Drive- $96
Ever since my new Mac messed up the formatting of my old external hard drive (aka murdered it) I’ve needed something to back up on and also to store my continuously expanding iTunes library. Well, this is the answer. 320GB for $96 seems fair to me. Also, I’ll be able to back up using Time Machine with this so I never lose a file again. (Thanks Aaron for alerting me to this deal)
The Office Season 3 DVD - $91
I’m sure you all know by now how much I love The Office. (I will always be in debt to my Uncle Bob for introducing us to it.) It’s my favorite show on TV, and it’s DVDs always have a ton of great extras.
Battlefield 1942 (Mac) - $37
It got great reviews initially on the PC and other consoles, and now it’s here for the Mac. The graphics look amazing and the gameplay is supposed to be great too.

Blood Sugar Sex Magic (CD) - $14
I have yet to be disappointed by a Red Hot Chili Peppers album, (I have Stadium Arcadium, Californication and By the Way) and this is the next top album on the list. It’s also extra large with 17 tracks.
Macworld Magazine Subscription - $20
Macworld magazine. It’s a magazine about Macs. And it’s cool. “Cover” Price is $84. Amazon’s price is $20. Enough said.

My dad and science teacher have that hard-drive. It is really nice looking
Newegg has the Lacie drive even cheaper, at $88. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822154151
