I’ve just implemented a combined RSS and Web 2.0 sidebar thing onto the site. Why? Because I can. But really, I saw these beautiful iPhone-esque icons at Fasticon.com and had to use them somehow. So I threw out the default RSS “Subscribe” module, and replaced it with a large and pretty icon. Then I used arne’s Delicious (and other services) Bookmark this! plugin for Wordpress to allow all 18 of you to quickly add one of my exciting blog posts to Digg, Delicious, Newsvine, or Furl.
But that’s not all! If you click one of the four smaller icons from a specific blog post, it will take you directly to a page on the service of your choice, with that specific post already filled in! I know, amazing. Not that anyone here would use that very often. But I might… And it looks cool anyway. You can even do it below for this post!
PHP does some really cool things. I really should’ve taken that class as my elective this year… but when it’s up against Film there’s just no way that I’ll choose it.
