No more updates for Win 98 and ME

Download Squad has an insteresting post about how Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows 98 and Windows ME (Millenium) come July 11th, next tuesday. Apparently 70 million people still use these operating systems. This basically means that Microsoft will no longer give these operating systems updates because they are TO OLD.

So no more windows updates means that they are prone to all new viruses. Whoopido. “Who cares?” my mom just asked, looking over my shoulder. I don’t know, but maybe those 70 million people who use those operating systems do. In fact, my mom was using windows 98 until about a year ago, until she upgraded to 2000.

Just a little grammar note, it’s “TOO OLD” not “TO OLD.” And yes, you should care.

Thank you, Aaron. Maybe he’ll take it better from you than he does from me.
