You may have heard of Netflix, you may use Neflix. If you do use Netflix, then you know that it is one of the coolest things ever. If you don’t, then I’m about to tell you why.
Initially, Neflix is an online service that allows you to browse for movies that you want. Then, you can add them to your Queue, or list of movies. The movies in your Queue are sent to you on DVD, via mail, in little slips. And amazingly, they never break. You then watch the movie, put it back in the slip, seal it, and send it back to Netflix with pre-paid mail. Then they’ll send you your next movie, usually within 2 days. It’s that easy. The different plans allow you to have from 1 movie at a time to 8 movies at a time. (The default is 2 or 3) and the price depends on how many movies you’re allowed to have at a time.
Beyond this, Netflix is even cooler. Just the experience of browsing online to find movies to rent is so great. They have movie info, trailers, and reviews by both users and critics. You can rate movies when you get them (or if you’ve already seen them) and it can help generate more movies that you’ll like (Movies You’ll Love). It’s actually what I’ve been looking for for a long time: A movie social network website. You can view movie recommendations from friends, and see what they thought of different movies.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. The “Previously Viewed DVDs Sale” may seem a little bit cheap at first, but they guarantee 100% that the DVDs are in completely viewable condition, AND they send it in a case with artwork and everything - all for a fraction of the price if you bought the DVD in a store. I just got mine for $5.99 - Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (I know it wasn’t that good, but I had the first one and I like having series of movies) and it came 2 days after I ordered it in perfect condition, almost as though I had bought it in a store.
And FINALLY, the newest and greatest part of Netflix: Watching movies online. And they did everything exactly right. Basically, the number of dollars you pay a month is the number of hours of online movies you can watch (ours is 15.) And Netflix is adding more movies all the time. I’ve watched The Matrix and it’s super-awesome. You download a small piece of software, and then you watch the movie in your browser (no problems like if they allowed you to download movies) The quality of the film adjusts to your computer’s power, and it work’s smoothly and perfectly.
I know that this (fairly long) post is sort of a conjumble of stuff, but hopefully you can make some sense out of it and GET NETFLIX NOW. Netflix is an awesome service, and it keeps expanding to keep up, and I love it so much because watching (and buying) movies has never been so easy.

If you have DVDs you want to get rid of, check out PeerFlix. They let you trade DVDs with other people. You put up a list of DVDs you want to get rid of and ones you want.
