More music that I like

Aside from the albums mentioned in my last post, I’d like to point out some individual songs that I really, really like. Most of them are the only song that I own by their artist. Still, here’s ten songs (in no specific order) that I like to hear over and over and over and over again - and they don’t get old. They’re all sort of current popular one hit wonders - or at least from my point of view. Sorry, no links this time. (I’m to lazy)

Crazy - Gnarls Barley

I know it’s way overplayed, but it’s a really interesting song, it sounds like it’s something from the 70s, but it’s not.

You Know My Name - Chris Cornell

This is the song they play at the beginning of Casino Royale. I didn’t think much of it originally, but it grows on you.

Losing My Religion - R.E.M.

I love the pace and tempo of this song. That’s it.

You Get What You Give - New Radicals

It’s hard to tell why I like this one, but it’s just so happy and feel-good-ish.

Sunday Morning - Maroon 5

I originally heard this song on a review copy of a mp3 player cell phone for the podcast - Well anyway, the rest of the album (Songs About Jane) is ok, but none of them are as good as this.

Jack & Diane - John Mellencamp

I love the main part, where I think it’s a guitar - very nice. Also, the vocals of the song are sung interestingly - it varies more and is more realistic than most music.

Accidentally In Love - Counting Crows

Made vastly popular by being featured in Shrek 2, it’s again hard to place why the song is good. Generally, a good, although somewhat predictable song.

It’s My Life - Bon Jovi

This is one of those “rallying songs.” Okay, that’s not the best phrase - but it can bring out a lot of emotion and it’s good to let out anger with.

Superman - Lazlo Bane

It’s the theme song of Scrubs, and it’s also not very well known besides that. Unfortuanally. The other songs on the album are actually pretty good.

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - Monty Python

I’m sorry, but after seing Spamalot this past weekend (review coming soon) I couldn’t help putting this down as the last one. It doesn’t exactly fit into the category, but who cares.

Always look on the bright side of life!!!
