Not exactly why it’s amazing movies, but just the awesome touches. Obviously there are spoilers.

1. The pencil magic trick
Everyone in the theater freaked out during this scene. It was so sudden and unexpected and just so downright evil in every sense of the word.

2. “Although I did bloody tell you so”
Even though this is probably the darkest PG-13 movie ever, it had little bits of humor that didn’t seem misplaced in any way. Alfred’s joke worked incredibly well for the scene.

3. The Batpod
Specifically the 360-wheel (it turns sideways also!) and the awesome wheelie up the building wall.

4. Handycam sounds
During the video where the Joker was torturing the Batman impersonator, it felt so incredibly authentic and real because you could actually here sound effects of the Joker fiddling with the camera. It really seemed like it was done with a real camera, my videos have those sound effects all the time whenever I fiddle with the camera while filming. I don’t know why it works so well but it was just awesome.

5. Introduction of Two-Face
Specifically one shot, after the bandage was off but before we saw the burned side of his face. In it, you see the side of Aaron Eckhart’s face, but you can tell from the angle that the other side of his face just isn’t there. His face just looks flat. It creeped me out.

6. “My insides are burning!”
The Joker planting the bomb (I think it was a bomb… can’t remember) inside the prisoner and when they first discovered it was another huge audience reaction moment.

7. The Joker walking out of the hospital
When he looks back, wondering why it has blown up yet, then fiddles with the controller, and then finally sprinting away when it finally does blow was darkly funny.

8. BIG Explosions!

You can’t deny the awesome explosions, especially the one of the hospital. I can’t wait to see it in Imax.

9. The boat scene
The setup is fascinating, and the execution of the scene is just amazing. The fact that they don’t blow each other up in the end is optimistic, and when you think about the reason why the Joker may have done this - to see if other people are as crazy as the Joker - is awesome.

10. Exwindchaser on the Rotten Tomatoes Forums puts it the best:

You know that part that where there’s a bank robbery happening? well from there to that part where Alfred is explaining what batman is to everyone and he says he’s our dark knight. All of that is my favorite part.
