Okay, here’s the deal:
They sent out the specialized high school notes saying if people got in or not yesterday, so everyone was freaking out at school today because we’re all getting it this afternoon. I DID take the test, though I do NOT plan to go to any of the specialized high schools. BUT, if you don’t get into a specialized high school, you don’t find out the normal school stuff for another MONTH AND A HALF. Unfair, yes I know!
BUT, it turns out I DID get a letter, saying I WAS accepted into Bronx Science AND Beacon (the non-specialized school I want to go to)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So YAY! I get to go to Beacon which is all filmmaking and technology-like, AND I have the bragging rights of getting into Bronx Science!!!
We are so proud of Austen’s acceptance at one of the City’s most prestious high schools! Even if he decides to go to Beacon, his acceptance at THE Science school is a feather in his cap! WAY TO GO Austen!
