I have a modest 30 photos from my trip this weekend to Florida. Yes, my - not ours. Anyway, they’re all uploaded to my Flickr account here. Then of course there’s the slideshow. My Uncle Bob (pictured top right and to the left) also wrote a blog post about my trip.
This is the first time I’ve really used the features of iPhoto, and I’ve found that it’s a great program, although a little bit slow. It’s ability to quickly ajust photos is very helpful when tweaking my pictures before uploading them. Although, there was one thing I missed: I couldn’t automatically make new albums from imports.
So when I imported my entire Flickr collection, I had to manually make the albums. And guess what? Literally 24 hours later, iLife ‘08 comes out with support for “Events.” Perfect. But I’m not paying $80 for a simple update to iLife. I’ll get it in October with Leopard when it comes out.

I suspect my new MacBook Pro (which hasn’t shipped yet) will come with iLife 08
What part of Florida?
Winter Park, which is right outside of Orlando.
That’s some good luck! Who would of thought that delayed shipping would be a good thing?
Leopard probably will not come with iLife 08, unfortunately. What your opinion on iMovie 8? Better or worse?
I’m not sure yet. I personally think that there was nothing wrong with the old interface, and I think the new one looks just a bit crapped up.
But I’m sure it’s more efficient and better once you get used to it.
But iLife ‘08 won’t come with Leopard? What???? No fair!
Yep
I used the new iMovie. It had no special effects!!??
