Christmas List ‘07

Just for the record, I don’t do these just because I’m ego-centric. Sure, that’s about 25% of it, but the other 75% is because people ask me to. And what better place to say what I want for Christmas than my blog? I’m too lazy this time around for all the pictures, sorry. I might add some more things as I think of them. The DVDs and games are suggestions, while the other stuff is a little bit more specific. Here goes…

MBP Road Tools PodiumPad - $30

It really scares me how my Macbook Pro goes over 80 degrees (celcius) when I only have one or two programs open. The heat could warp the frame out of shape, fry the battery, or who knows what else. Which is why this PodiumPad elevates it a few inches off the ground so there’s ventilation and a better air flow. That way I won’t accidentally fry an egg on my computer…

LaCie 320GB External Hard Drive- $106

Ever since my new Mac messed up the formatting of my old external hard drive (aka murdered it) I’ve needed something to back up on and also to store my continuously expanding iTunes library. Well, this is the answer. 320GB for $96 seems fair to me. Also, I’ll be able to back up using Time Machine with this so I never lose a file again. (Thanks Aaron for alerting me to this deal)

Microsoft Office 2004 (Mac) - $130

Student and Teacher edition! Plus, I get Office 2008…. wait for it… FREEEEEEEE once it comes out next year if you buy Office 2004 now!!!

Battlefield 1942 (Mac) - $37

I don’t many games, probably because there aren’t very many games available for the Mac. Go figure. Well, here’s one. And I want it.

Pirates of the Carribbean 3 DVD - $15

Okay, I didn’t love it, but it I did enjoy it, and I already have the first 2 on DVD, and it would be horrible not to get the third one and not have the full collection.

Spider-Man 3 DVD - $22

Definitely not up to par with the previous 2 movies, but enjoyable in a sort of incomplete way, kind of like how the series on DVD is incomplete. Note that it’s the 2-disc edition.

That amazon.com price for Office 2004 is better than the deal available at my campus store (https://www.cstore.ucf.edu/Staff/Item_Detail.php?item=SOF7419 )
