Blogging for MacApper

macapper.jpgWhen I first got my Mac I (of course) began to subscribe to all the major Mac websites and blogs: TUAW, MacRumors, Macworld, etc.

One gem of a website that I found was MacApper. MacApper is a collaborative blog about applications for the Mac. They have reviews of apps, news on new releases, interviews with developers in addition to regular Mac-related news. The website is a great way to find out about shiny new apps you can download to your computer, as long as it’s a Mac.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let me get to the good stuff: The other day they made a post asking for some “talented Mac writers” to write for their blog. I figured I’d give it a try, so I shot them an email with some example writing. They replied and said that it was terrible and that I should go look someplace else, somewhere like Dumboland, because my writing looked like it was done by a 5-year-old.

And then flying pigs invaded New York and bombed our apartment building with genetically modified humongous blueberries.

Okay, they may have said something a little bit more like “Dude that is exactly what we want… Awesome!” So yeah, I got accepted and I’m now officially a writer/contributor for MacApper! Don’t believe me? Take a look at THIS!

You can’t deny that. I’m writing for a real non-personal, collaborative blog! Now I’m not going to say if there’s any money involved, because I’m a good person like that. But if there were money involved, I probably wouldn’t tell you. I may hint at it, perhaps throught some tricky language. I’m not saying that if I didn’t get any money I wouldn’t attempt to let you know, I just would let you know whether or not I’m not making money through the website, and whether or not it’s imaginary money or real money. In short, I’m not telling you because I’m a good person like that.

Oh, and our building actually wasn’t attacked by flying pigs with humongous genetically modified blueberries. But if it WAS, then this is probably a pretty fair representation of what it would look like. Except, the blueberries would probably be even biggger. And more pigs. Lots of pigs. And cows too…

Update: I got another post!
