Apple product evolution

I found this awesome chart on TUAW, and I couldn’t not post it. It follows every major Apple product upgrade from 1976 until 2007.

Cool. I was provided an Apple IIe (1983) for my consulting work with Vega and Associates back in Baltimore. I ran the groundbreaking VisiCalc, predecessor to MS Excell, and used it almost every day!

I subsequently tried SuperCalc, but became super-proficient with Lotus 1-2-3 while working as a cable tv analyst in the early 90’s. I had some of my macros published in Lotus 1-2-3 magazine. Our computer IT department considered me a DOS “power-user”.

To this day, I’m partial to keyboard shortcuts.

Wow, I looked at the Wikipedia article for VisCalc and it looks very… green. It’s amazing how far computer have evolved graphically in the past 20 years.
