I’m sorry, but you simply can’t argue with 9 Emmy nominations. And there were 30 nominations combined for the entire NBC Thursday comedy night line-up. Seriously. They must be something right…
1. Nominated, Outstanding Comedy Series
2. Nominated, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Steve Carell
3. Nominated, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Rainn Wilson
4. Nominated, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Jenna Fischer
5. Nominated, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Gay Witch Hunt, Ken Kwapis
6. Nominated, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for Gay Witch Hunt, Greg Daniels
7. Nominated, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for The Negotiation, Michael Schur
8. Nominated, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series for The Job, Dean Holland and David Rogers
9. Nominated, Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (half-hour) And Animation for The Coup, John Cook, Peter J. Nusbaum, and Benjamin Patrick
(Thanks to Dunderpedia for the info)
It’s too bad, because NBC fired the man who is the reason that The Office, 30 Rock, Heroes, and My Name is Earl are all still on the air. And guess what? FOX picked him up. Idiotic move on NBC’s part.
