Yay!!!! So I got the camera! (The Canon Powershot SD700 IS) It’s SOOO much thinner than my old camera (less than half) a MUCH larger screen, higher resolution (for the landscape photos), really cool features, image stabilization, really cool features, 4x zoom, awesome features, really fast, etc.
Within only six hours of getting it I had already taken all of these pictures

All of the ones that are part black and white and part color are done on the camera using “color accent” you choose what color will not be in black and white and take the picture!!! AWESOME!!!
Here’s the camera I want to get with the $250 plus $30 plus my own saved up money:

Canon PowerShot SD700 IS
4x zoom, 6 megapixels, takes SD memory cards (2GB for only $50), 2.5 inch LCD screen, viewfinder, movie mode with sound, etc.
Cnet and Amazon.
That’s all for now!
Yay!!! I’m 14 years old right about… NOW. 5:51 AM on October 24th.
Wohoo!!!!!!!!

I get SO much comment spam on this blog, and I don’t know what I would do without Akismet which I installed just a week ago. It caught about 95% of the comment spam, which is great, and it also learns when you mark comments that got through as spam. But still, 443 comments in one week is just sick. That’s over 63 comments a day!!!!! And on a blog that only family and friends read!
If it weren’t for Akismet, I don’t know what I would do.
On a lighter note, tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY!!!
I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to post a lot lately, but I’ve been busy! (Sort of) Anyway, I saw the movie Click over the weekend and despite it getting a miserable grade of 31% at Rotten Tomatoes, I really, really enjoyed it. So I might review it. Maybe. Also, my birthday’s in two days - Tuesday! YAAAAAY!!!!
And finally, check out this most likely edited, but still very cool video:

I have finally mastered putting youtube videos on a wordpress post - none of the other plugins worked, except for this one.
Alright, besides the laptop that I really, really, really want need, here are some things I want for my birthday…

NOTE: This post is outdated - some information may be incorrect and/or completely worthless.
I’m posting this at 3:45, we think it happened at 2:30 - I’m updating this post continuously.
The FAA says that it appears to be an accident or at least not an act of terrorism. No, the building hasn’t fallen down as it doesn’t have the same type of build up as the twin towers did. 2 people have been confirmed dead - one of which is a Yankee baseball player.
Supposedly the plane didn’t go into the building, but it sort of bounced off it and fell to the ground, though they’re pretty sure that no one got hurt by that or anything else (besides the people on the plane and in the apartments)
Being in the 70s on the west side of NYC, we can’t see any smoke but there are helicopters in the sky like flies - at least 8 of them flying nearby.
Also, a quick and probably coincidental note: Today is 10/11 and September 11th was 9/11. And also, it is 13 days before my birthday. Maybe I’ve been destined to fight the forces of evil and… whatever.
Google just released their “Docs” online web 2.0 program-thing (they need a name for these), or should I say “Google Docs & Spreadsheets.” Google has had their spreadsheets thing for a while, but now they’ve finally integrated Writely, which they previously bought into it, renaming it to “Google Docs.” And I have to say, it’s pretty awesome. Just go to Docs.google.com. to check it out.
There are a lot of awesome features including collaborating, sharing, saving as .doc, .odt (OPEN SOURCE!), .rtf, .pdf, and .html. Talk about awesome.
Oh, and did I mention that I’m writing this post FROM Google Docs? That’s right, you can turn you Docs into blog posts, and tag each one “blog” so you know which ones are posts. Awesome. That’s all I have to say for now, I want to go play around with it some more…
Eureka is was a summer show that aired on the Sci Fi channel, which I watch sometimes. It’s basically about a small town of super-genius scientists who create all of these hi-tech things for the government and occasionally (once an episode) almost blow up the world. And who has to stop it? The not-super-genius sheriff Jack Carter - who always has something very funny to say in a time of turmoil. So the show is a sort of sci-fi-comedy that really just works. But now it’s over.Being a summer-run show, only 12 episodes aired, and to tell you the truth, even though it’s primary season worthy, after more than 12 episodes I think that it would get boring, I mean - how many times can you save the world? The funniness of Carter kept it going as long as it did. So I really don’t think they’ll start it in January or next summer - just because it would get boring.
The season finale aired about a week ago, but I haven’t gotten a chance to talk about it until now… (spoilers)
It was everything a season finale should be - although it was a bit confusing in the end. Basically, unlike the other episodes, it takes place four years from now, and Carter has to go back in time to change something, but has to stop his friend (Henry) from doing something (saving his wife) so that they all live till 2011. Very great. I highly recommend that you get this show on DVD when it comes out as it is an awesome show.
Very funny post about some of the features that “didn’t make it.”
My favorite? Mimesweeper!
This site, modeled after Apple.com, has some very good points about “Why the mac sucks”
And I have to say, it’s almost as convincing against Macs as Apple.com is for Macs. Not much more to say, and I’ve got 30 seconds left before I have to get off of the computer…
There are three new (that’s newer than the new ones that are newer than the other new ones, based on the original ones) “Get a Mac” ads at Apple.com. They’re just as funny as the other ones, especially “Better Results.”
Will Apple never stop their relentless TV ad campaigns? Probably not, so meanwhile we can enjoy these ads. Even though they’re biased. So TOTALLY biased.
