Good Charlotte

I’ve just discovered the band Good Charlotte and have bought an album of theirs, “The Young and the Hopeless” in addition to their song “I Just Wanna Live” which is my new favorite song.

They’re pretty good - they’re like green day, but a little less hard-rock-ish. Guess how I found them - that’s right - Pandora. There’s some good stuff on there.

30 days

Today is September the 24th, one month from now it will be October the 24th, my 14th birthday. Yay!

iPod Nano 1g, 2g, side by side

Aaron was able to get a review copy of the brand new iPod Nano 2nd generation (2g) from Tekserve for the podcast, and was kind enough to give it to me, so I put it side by side with my iPod Nano 1st generation (1g) and took a couple of pictures…

The 2g (right) is a little bit thinner than the original nano. (Is that possible?) It’s also much less prone to scratching because of the aluminum case-outside-thing. (But then again, how could anything scratch worse than the original?)

The 2g’s screen (right) is obviously 40% (I think) brighter. And sharper, though I still wouldn’t want to touch it for fear of mushing it up.

It’s cool. A decent improvement, especially with 8 gigs, longer battery life, cheaper price, no scratching, thinner, and colors. Though there are still no GAMES AND VIDEOS! I understand videos on the small screen probably wouldn’t work well, but why can’t the games from the iTunes store work on the nano???

And finally, you may have noticed that my sidebar has (yet again) decided to create an error somewhere in the code, and just for that little error, it stopped the entire sidebar from showing. But I’ll reinstall the theme and it should be back in a day or two when I have the time, and I feel like doing it.

Lights, Camera, and more Lights

While in Maine, LITERALLY half of my photos (151:158 ratio) weren’t of the Maine landscape, but were taken at night of lights. Not just normal lights, blurred and beautiful lights that make some AWESOME wallpapers. Enjoy them, because there are 151 of them. Here are some of the best ones:

iPod + School = almost bearable

It’s official…

I hope that there aren’t any loopholes.

The Office, Season 3

While Lost may be the best in TV in mystery, and 24 in drama and suspense - The Office (that’s the US version) is by FAAAR the best in Comedy.

It’s funny, awkward, hilarious, awkward, sad, amazing, and at the end of Season 2 - Jim kissed Pam! So now Season 3 is officially starting next thursday - oh, did I mention Pam is engaged? - anyway, it starts next thursday and anyone who likes good comedy should tune to NBC at 8 (or 9, I’m not sure) next thursday night and check out what happens.

24, Season 1

Words cannot describe this T.V. show. I just recieved and watched the last disc of the 24 season one dvd set from netfilx, so I’ve now watched the entire season. I’ve seen some of the other 4 seasons, and they’re great, but none of them are as good as the first season.

It’s just so…. fast-paced, action-packed, good, great, amazing - you have to see it.

And the ending is SOOOOO sad for season 1 - it’s supposed to be happy but the worst thing in the world happens, that’s just so horrible I’m not going to spoil it for you.

Get a free weekend, get 24, watch 24, love 24. Once Lost starts again I might have a 24 vs. Lost post.

Wow

Some people are just mean.

Apple’s new iTunes, iPod, iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, iMac

Youch, I haven’t posted since forever. Sorry, I’m sure that you’re all wondering how school’s going. It’s cool. Homework has come in full blown, so I haven’t had much of a chance to post, but here’s one now:

I’ve been - sob - R E P L A C E D !!!!!!!!! Noooooooo!!! The iPod nano has been updated - it looks like the old mini now - very nice, slightly thinner, AND an 8 GB version, which I would love because I’m up to over 5 GB in music, so the music actually ON my ipod is limited. Also, longer battery life and brighter screen - cool, but when I get a chance my next Rant and Rave will be about Apple and replacing each of their products every month.

iPod shuffle is even tinier, now silver. Pretty cool. Normal iPod upped to 80 GB and brighter screen.
But… then there’s iTunes - iTunes 7 is also released, which I have just downloaded. You can now buy movies at 640×480 resolution to view on your iPod, cool. And games also - though both not on the nano of course - that’ll probably be on the next version. I’m holding back my “sell-current-ipod-on-ebay-save-up-extra-money-to-buy-newest-ipod” impulse.

That’s all I can say now, but I’ll be back with more stuff soon. Sorry again about the week without posting - if it makes you feel any better, I DO feel bad I didn’t post much.

The Booger Man Poster

Based on the poster I generated in this post, this poster is actually done by me, it wasn’t generated. And If I had time I would give it a double I rating but I don’t have the time, so here it is. Try not to throw up.

I have to go to school tommorow

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Portland, Driftwood, and more Maine!!!

I would like to happily congratulate myself of just uploading the largest flickr set I have ever uploaded! This set has 158 photos. That’s right, One hundred and fifty-eight photographs.

Bush Cards!!!

While looking for some playing cards in Maine, I came upon these. So I bought them. And I must say, they are the funniest thing I’ve seen since Bush spoke of “The Internets” during one of the debates back in 2004. You may have noticed by now, that the cards to the left are slanted. Slanted to the right, I might add. Get it? They’re SLANTED to the RIGHT!

Each card has a picture and a little bio/blooper of people under bush’s administration. All of the Kings, Queens, and Aces are names you’ve probably heard, with the Ace of Spades being Bush himself. It has this quote on it:

Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.

And the coolest thing is that they are STILL normal playing cards! You can get them for just under $10 (they’re pretty good quality material) over at Bushcards.com.
